| Though it's critical for us to give serious thought to where we want society to go, and recognizing the moral imperative to act is equally important, without action all that thinking and feeling amounts to nothing. To turn our thoughts and desire for change into action we have to be allies for social change
What does it mean to be an ally? It means that when someone tells a racist or sexist joke you speak up and tell them it's not okay. It means that when you see prejudice and bigotry that you stand up and stop it from happening again. It means when you see someone in need you give them what help you can offer. It means you become involved in politics and political discussions. It means you tell your friends and family about the inequalities that still exist in society and help educate them about how they can be allies
