If you're serious about social change, education is the only issue. Our schools are meant to give children the opportunity to live out the American Dream. Traditionally, though, education has been about teaching facts, not about learning how to take control of our lives. As educators, we are redefining what education is, helping students, parents and teachers better grasp the issues facing our schools and communities. The importance of education, as a social institution and an instrument of change, is integral to our identity, both as individuals and as Project 2050. Our experiences with education, as teachers and students, have greatly shaped our individual beliefs and our goals as an organization.
